My Bio
Welcome to Odinblades, where you will find a series of swords and knives unlike any other. From the Guardian with its etched blade, double-ring guard and leather-wrapped woodcore handle to the mighty 72-inch Zweihander, each blade is forged in house to bring your dreams to life in steel.

When you look at an Odin, you’re guaranteed to find:

* A blade forged for stage combat and full contact use or cutting
* All hand made parts with unparalleled options for customization
* 5160 alloy or any other spring or tool steel of choice
* And, most importantly, a truly unique piece of art.

Some of the swords pictured on the website are unique designs by customers and cannot be exactly duplicated. Please call and we can talk about a custom sword project for you.

Now announcing the very limited edition Longship Armoury Silvia project! For those of you that don't remember the original Silvia circa 2010, here's a reminder: :thumb162700650: Part of the reason we started Longship Armoury was to bring some of John's most recognizable designs to market at lower-than-custom prices. The Morrigan and the Verrimus were the first steps towards that goal, being derivatives of their original inspirations. With the Silvia, we wanted to bring a design even closer to the original. The fittings will be darkened bronze rather than pattern-welded damascus, but it will be very much like the Silvia that people remember

Shop Fire

0 min read
Hey guys, It's been one hell of a week. Had a shop fire that took out a back wall and part of the roof of the shop. Destroyed a ton of supplies, damaged a couple machines, and took out some of the electrical. There's smoke damage all over the place and on the swords that I was working on too. To top it all off, all my musical equipment got destroyed, including a new song we had just finished recording, not to mention all the priceless memorabilia and antiques that were in the shop. Insurance should cover some of it, but some stuff just isn't replaceable. Going to put me behind on work now with all this damage. Hope everyone with open orders

Been wanting to do a semi-custom/semi-production line for years now, where I can focus mainly on what I want to do and art I want to make. Easier to pay the bills than being a fully custom artist as well ;) The wait is finally over with the launch of Longship Armoury with a friend of mine. Website's still in the works: www.longshiparmoury.com Expect to see pieces ready to go for anybody who doesn't want to wait months for a custom sword or is on a tighter budget. Pommels/guards can also be mixed and matched in most cases for a more unique piece for you, and every model is limited to 100, helping maintain some value in this changing sword in

I would love to have one of your swords but sadly I can only afford a windlass right now lol. I really like the early Kilij.
Can I use your sword images as stocks for commercial purposes ?
I owned a Warder purchased through Valiant Armoury a few years ago.
Since then I started a collection of Katana from SBG. I sold the Warder before I knew how good it is, and kicked myself at the thought of it.
hey I was wondering is pattern welded steel the same as Damascus steel?

Nowadays, yes, modern Damascus steel refers to pattern welded steel. Historical Damascus is wootz though. There are people nowadays who also make wootz.
Are pattern welded blades stronger?
Generally speaking, no, it's primarily done for aesthetics
