Simple yet elegant design. It may just be a trick of the camera angle, but is one of them longer than the other?

Regardless, I'm getting more and more interested in ordering one of your fine works of art.

I think it was more the angle and the lighting.

Awesome! They actually look kinda big, or at least kinda heave for short swords, so I'd probably prefer to have a handguard on them, at least one for the front so my hand doesn't slide over the base of the blade and get cut. XD

Distal taper is the name of the game. Have enough of it and weight goes down. Very rarely should you ever have a blade that is the same thickness all the way down.

Unfortunately, these were made years ago for a customer. If we were to make new ones, they'd probably be around $1400 for the pair without etchings and $2200 with the etchings.

These are an order I placed with John 7 or 8 years ago. I sold them to another collector to fund a motorcycle purchase, and have regretted it ever since. I've got an order for a similar set from John in the works.

As nice as they look in the photo, they're even nicer in person. The fine detail work that John did with the handle and fittings was just amazing, and not pictured is the scabbard and baldric set up that John designed for them.

I'm liking this a lot....like I could see anyone carrying around two of these in his/her back sheathes....Nice blade designs, and nice work! :)

These weapons are exactly what I wish to use for my story if I may?
