Comados Gladius by LongshipArmoury Comados Gladius by LongshipArmoury
Here's a custom Comados gladius heading out to a customer soon. Features bronze fittings, a gorgeous stabilized redwood burl grip, and a customer-specified etching on the blade.

Total weight is at 2lbs 4.4oz. Overall length is about 33", with the blade about 26". POB is at around 3.5". It's a light and fast sword but still very powerful. It can pierce and stab as well as any gladius but make no doubts that it can still slice.

Placed on a medium sized cutting board to give some perspective as requested ;)

It's a very nice sword, but it seems a bit long for a gladius.

Aye, a little long. It's more spatha length with a Mainz gladius-styled blade. The fittings were already just "inspired" and not 100% historical though, so we figured there was a bit of leeway ;)

Looks beautiful, I think you have the overall and blade length stats reversed though =)
